Holbrook Field Trips is a family owned and operated school field trip company founded in 1974 when John Holbrook lll, now a retired science teacher and coach in the Guilford and Forsyth County School systems, began taking 80 to 120 students from the Carolinas on a five week summer excursion to the west coast every summer. This yearly trip concentrated on the national parks and the educational and recreational opportunities of the American West.
For the past 25 years our mission has been to provide quality one, two and three day field trips for North Carolina schools to their favorite travel destination. In the 2007 school year we will provide our services to over 100 schools in 21 North Carolina school districts to over 15 basic and special destinations.
Our office is centrally located in Apex, NC where John Holbrook lV serves as president of the company. He is a 1984 graduate of NC State University with a degree in Economics and Business Administration
Our staff of tour directors is well trained and are experts in the destinations of your choice. They consist of retired teachers, principals, and well-educated professionals with various college degrees and are sensitive to the needs of your students and your travel goals.
Our trips are designed and customized to enrich the North Carolina Standard Course of Study for the science and social studies curriculum for each grade level. Our goal is to provide you with a safe, reliable and enriching trip and make it as worry-free as possible for the teachers.

Our parent chaperone were very complimentary of the trip because we spent our time organizing the students and taking care of their needs instead of where we were going next. The tour of the US Capitol was excellent and laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was especially meaningful. I have known you for close to 30 years when we were teaching together and I knew you would do a great job. Hopefully, I can join your team in planning these trips as I retire next year.
