Discovery Place

A science and technology museum for visitors of all ages located in Uptown, Charlotte. An IMAX movie can be requested. 

Charlotte Motor Speedway 

A great opportunity for STEM activities that focus on friction, traction, acceleration, balance and more. Students will rotate though five hands-on stations with Educators. 

Hendricks Motor Sports Campus 

Visit the Hendricks Motorsport 5/24 Race Shop and 48/88 Race Shop buildings (state-of-the-art facilities showcasing cars and preparations for racing at the garage). Also explore the Hendricks Motorsport Museum showcasing the many years of Hendricks Motorsport history. 

Nascar Hall of Fame 

Offers middle school students the ability to learn and apply principles of math, science, and social studies. With lesson plans that adhere to the state and national standards, the NASCAR Hall of Fame team provides an educational experience that is truly an extension of the classroom. 

Lazy 5 Ranch

Student ride on a narrated horse-drawn carraige through the largest drive-thru exotic animal park in the United States. 

Energy Explorium at Duke Energy 

Explore the self-guided exhibits on topics that include the environment, weather, electricity, the nuclear energy process, and more. 

Carolina's Aviation Museum

Visitors can experience the wonder of flight and get behind the controls of a Cessna 150, Boeing 727 procedures trainer, F-14 Fighter Jet, and the Wright Flyer Simulator. 

Carolina Raptor Center

This on-site education program offers your class an opportunity to see birds of prey up close, while one of the skilled educators teaches your students about these incredible birds.
